Job Description

Our Senior Programmer Analyst reports directly to the Director of Application Development. This position is primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of the web based loan management system for a core division of the company. This position uses moderate independent judgment to recognize and resolve complex problems within policy and procedure. The Systems Analyst is accountable for the planning, execution, quality, timeliness and accuracy of work.


Key Areas of Responsibility:



- Provides superior customer service within software development department
-Participates in and may have the opportunity to lead medium to large software development projects
-Using object oriented analysis techniques, meets user requirements for small to medium projects by:

-Analyzing and documenting user project requirements
-Designing systems solutions
-Code Programs
-Unit testing finished programs


-Delivers software changes within in acceptable iteration testing and correcting, between development and QA Testing that do not fail in production
-Provides quality support for all existing systems following established problem reporting procedures
-Acts as technical resource for development team members in systems requirements and design techniques including internal review and approval of project work
-Resolves help desk tickets and existing system problems in priority order within agreed time frames
-May communicate program and procedural changes through verbal and written means to ensure that users are aware of the impact of the changes

-Demonstrated knowledge of computer software development process and applications, including web development using Microsoft .Net
-Demonstrated knowledge of the following:

-The latest .net technologies with a focus on vb.Net
-Web services/WCF
-AJAX
-SQL Server Database
-SQL Server Reporting Services
-Version control software such as Subversion or similar


-Experience writing automated unit test cases
-Participate in code reviews and code walk throughs

-Demonstrated knowledge of project planning and project management skills
-Demonstrated communication skills, both written, verbal, and interpersonal
-Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
-Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or on a team while meeting deadlines



Education:


-High School Diploma or equivalent� required
-Bachelor�� s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar program from a four-year college or university (preferred)
-Five to eight years of related experience and/or technical training; or equivalent combination of education and related experience is acceptable
