These applications though varied in purpose all serve to facilitate the positive member experience for each encounter. These applications require highly skilled, motivated and very communicable personnel to maintain their availability. The staff will interface with members, physicians, and other health care professionals, Vendors and other IT organizations within KPIT.In this position you will serve as a senior programmer analyst. You will provide 24X7 on call support for the assigned applications. This is a customer facing position which includes on call, documenting business processes, analyzing issues, vendor management and develop support IT solutions. Will be responsible for ensuring that the agreed upon service level agreements are met. Work closely with the application team lead for the assigned tasks, track and provide status as required. Will be working with Onsite/offshore contractors and matrixed individuals, build and develop relationships with partners across the organization as needed for the job. Support and embrace new initiatives proposed by leadership. Understand and adhere to KP standard policies and procedures.Essential Functions:* Responsible for support, maintenance and deployment of 6 10 IT clinical applications* Provide 24 X 7 support for given applications on a rotational On Call basis by following the departments agreed upon Service Level Agreements.* Provide not only superior Technical Analysis work on all existing applications but also on new projects and applications that fall into your scope.* Participate in analysis and troubleshooting of problem definitions within business processes in order to define functional requirements and technical specifications.* Work closely with the group manager that is assigned to projects/applications within its definition and/or development or ongoing Production support phase.* Monitor tasks and assist junior staff in all aspects of application support ensuring that deliverables and SLA's are not only met but exceeded in most cases.* Maintain active task lists by application.* Manages the installation and first use of new applications.* Develops and implements communication and escalation plans and resolves issues.* Collaborates with client in implementation of the planning, training and operating of clinical application systems.* Work with onshore and offshore resources to support application tasks and projects.* Work with Business Partners to maintain and enhance our efforts to provide the very best IT experience possible.* Maintain knowledge of up to date technologies and programming practices.* Estimate work accurately* Identify and escalate any issues that arise.* Communicate technical issues and project assignment statuses clearly.* Record actual time spent on assignments and tasks.* Participate in peer code reviews.* Provides knowledge transfer as appropriate.* Performs risk/impact analysis.
