Job Description
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Project Controls Engineer to support multiple projects within the division. This position will be based in the Broomfield, Colorado office and report directly to the Project Controls Director. This position will also require extensive travel to project locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, update, and monitor individual project schedules and integrated overall master program schedule.
Review schedule, progress and productivity of consultants and contractors, monitor and verify monthly costs and earned value, conduct change order management and control.
Develop, manage and monitor program and project specific budgets, cash flow projections and forecasts.
Evaluate and adjust data regarding cost status, resource requirements, commitment data and productivity variance reports.
Develop and prepare monthly program and project progress summary reports.
Document,establish and implement scheduling and cost control standards.
Interface and maintain liaison with project management, client, and other consultants on all control related activities.
Update the program master schedule monthly. Work with all schedulers for design consultants, construction management consultants, contractors, and program management team members and client staff to obtain the latest schedules in the appropriate program format for each phase (planning, design, bid/award, construction, start-up) and task, incorporate into monthly schedule. Distribute copies of schedule to program management team members and client.
Attend meetings with design consultants, construction management consultants and contractors to review and approve baseline schedules, and attend regularly scheduled meetings as necessary to stay current on schedules.
Update the project change notice and cost projections weekly. Work with program management team members to facilitate delivery of all necessary change notice scope and cost documents from design and construction management consultants to obtain client approval.
Assist in project mobilization for new job setups.
Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science or higher university degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
At least 8 years of relevant project controls, project analyst experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility in terms or project size and sophistication.
Experience with project accounting and general financial management, document management, and project compliance processes & audits.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and other normal business applications
Proficient in Primavera scheduling/project management software (version 6 and above).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with customer facing experience.Preferred SpecificationsPreferred Skills:
Experience with Prolog Manager (version 7.5 and above) highly desired
