Senior Project Manager

DUTIES: You will be responsible for: (1) Project management of multiple, concurrent Information Technology (IT) and Business Process Reengineering projects with an extremely heavy emphasis on eliciting requirements from the business stakeholders and end user community often times where there are no existing requirements, or when the stakeholders are even unaware of needs that they have; ( 2) Planning and prioritizing of projects; (3) Creating work plans for projects to determine staffing needs and project timelines; (4) Developing detailed project plans that speak to both technical and business requirements/criteria; (5) Facilitating staffing to accommodate project needs; (6) Establishing logistics and meeting schedules for the duration of the project for the business teams, technical teams; (7) Establishing weekly and monthly status reporting for project teams and executive management; (8) Establishing a risk mitigation strategy to properly manage project risks; (9) Controlling costs of consulting vendor usage where applicable; (10) Developing metrics for all phases of the project lifecycle; (11) Providing process reengineering expertise focused on driving effectiveness and efficiency using an andldquo;As-isandrdquo; and andldquo;To-beandrdquo; model.
REQUIRED:
MUST have at least 10+ years of work experience in the IT industry growing from an applications (non-infrastructure and non-operations) role into a Business Analyst role, later growing into your current role of Project Manager of applications focused projects.
THIS IS NOT A TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT ROLE.
MUST have at least 5 years of STRONG/CURRENT SDLC based project management with a mix of ERP, mainframe, client/server, e-commerce/web based solutions.
MUST be an EXPERT at andldquo;requirements extractionandrdquo; (i.e. eliciting requirements when the customers, stakeholders, end users do not know their own needs or they are not well defined).
MUST be an EXPERT at relationship building with customers and end users and stakeholders, with a proven business process reengineering skill set focused on andldquo;AS-ISandrdquo; and andldquo;TO-BEandrdquo;.
MUST have a stable track record, with a mix of corporate IT roles and consulting (not independent consulting) roles where has strong experience acting in a customer facing capacity.
MUST have superb communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills.
MUST have a high level of personal and business maturity and be able to lead others towards change in a positive manner.
