Job Description

General Summary

The Senior Reporting Accountant on the Financial reporting team is responsible for supporting month end closing as well as monthly and quarterly financial reporting by completing assigned journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis. The Senior Accountant is also responsible for internal and external audit support, ad hoc reports and requests from management, special projects and department initiatives. The Senior Accountant will assist in training and developing other members of the accounting team.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Financial reporting and analysis of monthly and quarterly results.
Identify financial trends, conduct research and variance explanations
Build financial reports and present the data to management
Process improvement projects and department initiatives.
Preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis.
Preparing audit schedules and interacting with auditors.
Assist and train other team members.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting
5+ years experience in Accounting (Public Accounting, General Accounting, Consolidations, Financial Reporting)
Solid understanding of GAAP & IFRS
FP&A a plus
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Adaptable to changing priorities and ability to manage multiple tasks
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Excellent excel skills, experience with ERP systems (Oracle, HFM)
Strong work ethic
CPA or MBA a plus
