Senior Research Associate

Design and execute experiments for the development of oral dosage forms for Phase I & II clinical studies for oncology therapeutic areas. Responsibilities include independently designing and executing experiments; evaluating physical, chemical and mechanical properties of development molecules, powder blends, and solid oral dosages, such as tablets and capsules; developing robust manufacturing processes with lead scientist; interfacing with Contract Manufacturing Organizations during technology transfer and clinical trial material manufacturing; taking a leadership role in maintaining the stability testing schedule of prototype formulations; assisting in preparing, reviewing and executing batch records; assisting in preparing regulatory documents; present technical data in team, group, and departmental meetings; and taking responsibility for all solid processing equipment maintenance and serving as safety representative. REQUIREMENTS: Must have Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field, and 2 years of experience in the development of tablet and capsule dosage forms, including experience with pharmaceutical unit operations (landing, milling, granulation (wet & dry), spray drying, Wurster coating, tablet compression and extrusion/spheronization; physical, chemical and mechanical characterization of solids and powders; and basic statistics (ANOVA and DOE).
