Senior Research Director, Americas Capital Markets

Job Description Summary

This position will reside in the Center of Excellence for the Americas and will report directly to the Global Chief Economist, Head of Research for the Americas with dotted line reporting to the Principal Economist, Head of Applied Research for the Americas for day-to-day projects and initiatives. This position will be responsible for producing capital markets thought leadership content for the America's COE, including directing a program of market presentations, written analysis, surveys, forecasts, and data collection to support the capital markets business and advance the strategic plan in Americas Research. The Director of Capital Markets Research position will also be a key spokesperson for Cushman & Wakefield's business in the Americas on Capital Markets trends and related topics. This includes accompanying brokers to client pitches/presentations in the Americas, and speaking at internal client events and industry events.

Job Description



Responsibilities include, but not limited to



* Will work with the Chief Economist in analyzing the capital markets in the Americas and in developing key assumptions with regard to the macro/microeconomic and CRE environment.

* Responsible for written analysis of America's Capital Markets Research - including the standard quarterly report for the Americas and for overseeing all aspects of production and quality control

* Responsible for producing a quarterly capital markets presentation and hosting a quarterly webcast to internal/external clients

* Responsible for participating in timely webinars covering hot topics as they relate to capital markets

* Will work with the Director of Forecasting for the Americas and will oversee certain aspects of the production process and review of outputs for the capital markets

* Responsible for accompanying brokers at all levels and all geographies in client pitches/presentations

* Responsible for working with capital markets practice groups for the Americas in developing and producing deliverables that may be used to strengthen existing client relationships, drive new business development, and increase industrial leasing market share nationally

* Responsible for assisting and advising clients, both internal and external, on capital markets trends that may impact profitability

* Responsible for increasing firm visibility and establishing Cushman & Wakefield capital markets research as the premier thought leader

* Responsible for serving as the primary point of contact to all regional research leaders, local market leaders, service line leaders, strategic account representatives, and other business development professionals for all capital markets related matters

* Responsible for assisting development of department systems, data collection, developing new data series necessary to support the capital markets business.

* Responsible for speaking at industry events, and supporting the Chief economist with media relations.

* Responsible for leading/participating in the capital markets research council to coordinate thought leadership content globally and to elevate the profile of capital markets research at all levels



Requirements:



* 10+ years of experience in market analysis, management, and client-facing roles

* Ph.D or Master's degree preferred

* Exceptional written and oral communication skills

* Excellent presentation skills and client-facing expertise

* Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization in pursuit of business development
