JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY This Senior Retirement Compliance Specialist position requires a foundational knowledge of both defined benefit plans and defined contribution plans. This includes plan design, legal requirements, administrative practices and other activities common to the oversight of retirement plans. The employee must quickly develop a thorough knowledge of the various plans, related system parameters and general administrative processes. All job duties must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. This position will work with various functions within Air Liquide in order to keep the retirement plans in compliance by performing key analytical and research tasks on a routine basis. In addition, vendor management for the plans will be essential.
Job Responsibilities: Subject matter expert for ALL retirement plans including Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit qualified and non-qualified plans. Serve as day-to-day contact with system support, employee call centers and HR teams as necessary. Research and manage WorkDay, Payroll and data feeds to retirement systems and ensure corrections, if necessary, are completed timely and within regulatory guidelines. Effectively manage relationships with third-party vendors. Oversee nondiscrimination testing, financial audits for plans and government annual filings (Form 5500). Perform true-up process, audit procedures and reconciliations as required. Manage integration of assets from acquired companies into current 401(k) Plan. Identify compliance issues, assist in reviewing plan amendments. Research plan issues and resolve in accordance with regulations. Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the gathering, validation and integration of data necessary to support retirement plan(s) is accurate. Manage, develop and review employee communications for retirement plans. Assist in implementation of any new benefit features and investment funds. Remain current on legislative and IRS changes relative to plan regulations, procedure changes and mandated disclosures. Work effectively with internal and international departments as needed. Assist with special projects pertaining to pension or health and welfare administration and program changes. Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
General Requirements: Bachelors degree in Business, HR or related discipline required 5+ years of experience in Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit Plan Administration Knowledge of retirement and benefit plans and related laws, regulations and terminology Experience with WorkDay and PeopleSoft HRIS systems and payroll / data feeds to and from third parties Thorough knowledge of defined benefit and defined contribution plans is needed as well as experience working with outsourced DB/DC plan administrators / record keepers Ability to manage multiple priorities Customer-oriented service attitude, with demonstrated experience in a customer service environment and ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals Ability to perform in a team environment as a team member or leader in a cross-functional team Basic understanding of the processes, systems, and procedures of the department Experience working as a project manager Motivated, proactive self-starter Ability to work independently and perform research as required Demonstrated high level attention to detail and accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills Demonstrate critical thinking and customer focus Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite applications; advanced skills are needed in Excel
