The Senior Software Developer will work directly under the supervision of a member of the Technology team in Frankfort, Kentucky.


Essential Functions:


* Design and develop programming systems making specific determinations about system performance
* Proven experience supporting and maintaining production software in a proactive manner
* Proven experience working inside a team environment with critical deadlines
* Proven experience working with Business team members to develop document application workflows.
* Analyze, design, and coordinate the development of software systems to form a basis for the solution of information processing problems
* Analyze system specifications and translate system requirements to task specifications for junior programmers
* Responsible for analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions to problematic programming
* Responding promptly and professionally to bug reports
* Responsible for developing new programs and proofing the program to develop needed changes to assure production of a quality product
* Responsible for development of new programs, analysis of current programs and processes, and making recommendations which yield a more cost effective product
* Writes, edits, and debugs new computer programs for assigned projects, including necessary records and desired output
* Tests new programs to ensure that logic and syntax are correct, and that program results are accurate; assists lower-level programmers with programming assignments
* Search, summarize and keep the team abreast of strategic information from all sources
* Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff
* Provide feedback to analysis/training staff about performance considerations / usability issues concerning software specifications and implementation
* Review, to the extent possible, changes in code and the environment that will affect system performance
* Provide recommendations to management concerning issues of application productivity and software development management
* Participates in structured walk-throughs and other activities to review systems


Requirements:


* Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
* 3 years of experience as a Software Developer required; 5+ years preferred
* Must be highly proficient with C# (or VB.net), ASP.net (preferably MVC), .NET 4.0 or later, MVC 4/5 or later, SQL Server development (T-SQL and SSRS), Entity Framework, JQuery/JavaScript, HTML, XML
* Experience architecting web applications required
* Experience with AngularJS and WCF Web Service a plus
* Experience with LINQ, ORM Tools, CSS styling, and Window Services preferred
* Ability to provide development hour estimates used to drive project delivery timelines
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Advanced knowledge of computer technology; of programming languages; database technologies, and of coding processes and security measures
* Demonstrated ability to adapt to new programming languages and development frameworks
* Ability to review and translate specifications to write programs to produce desired results
* Ability to develop and use appropriate testing protocols to perform development unit testing
* Ability to prioritize conflicting demands
* Self-motivated and assertive
* Must be able to work independently on projects and within a team environment
* Execute assigned projects within established deadlines
* Maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders and team members
* Ability to communicate complex concepts verbally and in writing with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
