Location: Northern Boston Area

AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER YOU WILL:

* Collaborate cross-functionally to define clear requirements, deliverables, and test cases in an exciting, highly innovative environment
* Own key components of critical, high availability software services as part of specific systems or subsystems

QUALIFICATIONS:

* BS/MS in Computer Science, Math, or other algorithmic-centric discipline
* 4+ years of experience working in core Java and Object Oriented languages
* Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
* Experience in distributed computing, service-oriented architectures and enterprise-wide systems
* Ability to design, implement, and test software in an environment of rapidly evolving requirements
* Experience with multithreading and concurrency
* Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently
* Effective communication skills, ability to work well in a diverse, team environment
* Knowledge of professional softwareengineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, agile development, build processes, testing, and operations

ADDITIONAL SKILLS NEEDED:

* Enjoys working in a high-energy and fast paced culture
* Algorithms including schedulers, workflows, state machines
* Solid debugging skills
* Writing technical white papers describing new algorithms and designs
* Experience with Unix and Web technologies (Javascript, CSS, HTML5)
