LiveOnNY is dedicated to saving lives, providing comfort and strengthening legacies through organ, eye, and tissue donation in the Greater New York City area. To achieve this mission, LiveOnNY facilitates organ and tissue recovery, and educates the community it serves about donation and transplantation. In 38 years, the 185-employee non-profit organ procurement organization (OPO) has helped to save over 20,000 lives through organ donation and improve thousands more through eye and tissue donation.
The Senior Specialist, Community & Communications is a key contributor to the LiveOnNY Marketing & Communications Department. He/she is responsible for activating the cause via community, communications, and marketing initiatives. The Senior Specialist is responsible for developing innovative strategies and tactics in these areas, and executing those strategies and tactics with precision and impact.
The Senior Specialist:
* is inquisitive and innovative. He/she continually (1) mines for target audience insights, and uncovers program learnings, (2) leverages those insights to ideate and build new approaches, and (3) executes the new approaches, across all areas (community, communications and marketing).
* develops, manages and executes community annual strategies and related programs and tactics. Initiates and builds relationships with community influencers (business leaders, government leaders, etc.) and donation community advocates (individuals and groups). Executes, organizes and optimizes enrollment drives, presentations and guerilla marketing efforts, installations, and other disruptive/buzz generating tactics.
* contributes to the development and placement of earned media via story ideation, mining, and research, as well as pitch development and media relations.
* participates in the development and execution of brand-building strategies, programs, and tactics included, but limited to, the LiveOnNY Report, Brand Book, and hospital-focused campaign.
supports the development of marketing strategies, programs and tactics such as, but not limited to, advertising creative, media buys, and digital/social media initiatives
