The Senior Staff Engineer works closely with the project manager and is responsible for the technical aspects of the project from award until system acceptance.
Assist the staging team in CCSI
Integrate and design systems to support public safety elements include coverage analysis, AC/DC load studies, portable and mobile radio, data systems, data applications, microwave, back-haul technologies, dispatch centers, and logging.
Conduct system Details Design Review (DDR)
Work with CCSi for ship acceptance.
Work with the system Technologists for field acceptance testing (FATP), and coverage acceptance testing (CATP).
*Travel is required for customer meetings, system staging, system implementation, and training throughout Michigan.
Michigan based position but may support other projects within this fast moving motivated territory.
3+ years in the telecommunications industry.
Bachelors of Engineering required
Results driven, self motivated, people-oriented technical professional.
Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences
Excellent English (both oral and written) is essential for this role
Must be able to work under pressure and independently, to meet project deadlines for delivering quality solutions on time
Experience working directly with customers is desirable
Experience/ Knowledge of communications networks (MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP) is desirable
Network Certifications through CCNA, CompTIA is desirable.
