JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY SENIOR STRATEGIC ANALYST At FCB Chicago, the Senior Strategic Analyst plays an essential role in transforming data insights into more effective interactions between brands and consumers. Leveraging a wide range of data sources and analysis techniques, the Senior Strategic Analyst identifies key insights that provide the strategic foundation for marketing solutions.
OVERVIEW: aggregate, integrate, QC and analyze raw data and information from client research to create reports/analyses and other deliverables as required to support planning & measurement/optimization of retail promotions & shopper marketing.
THE POSITION: Works with numbers, trends and data to identify valuable insights
Performs analyses, translating data into reports and dashboards consistent with marketing plans and business needs
Assists in the development of new marketing programs and enhances current campaigns to meet performance objectives
Gathers and updates necessary marketing program information and communicates to appropriate parties
Analyzes and mines large data sets, both client-specific and syndicated research
Collaborates with Creative, Planning, Account Management and other departments to deliver marketing solutions to clients
Bachelors Degree and 2 years of analytical experience in Retail, CPG, Sales and/or Marketing
Naturally curious and passionate about numbers, data, insights and applications to advertising
Excellent quantitative skills and ability to interpret data from multiple sources, strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Experience with analytical tools (SPSS, SAS, SQL, Tableau) or research resources (Forrester, Simmons) a plus
Possesses clear and persuasive communication skillswritten and verbal
Able to manage multiple assignments and deliver projects on schedule
Is a team player but also able to work independently
Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
Experience working on tasks or projects with cross-functional partners such as Creative, Planning and Account Management
ANALYTICS SKILLS/EXPERIENCE 1. Demonstrated experience designing/creating retail and shopper marketing reporting & analyses
2. Understanding of retail promotion analytics and retail traffic generation strategy/tactics
3. Understanding of segmentation strategy, implementation and measurement
4. Ability to develop actionable insights from data/reports and communicate those insights through discussion and documentation w/clients and internal teams.
5. Data visualization translating data into appropriate charts, graphs and other visuals that enhance data comprehension and actionability.
