This position provides day-to-day hands on support to the organization s end user laptops, desktops, thin clients and mobile devices. Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals with established standards and guidelines. Other areas or responsibility include creating and updating desktop standards and documentation. The position also requires independent analysis and problem solving that can be shared with other staff.

Primary Accountabilities

* Set up, maintain and troubleshoot standard desktop images and installations

* Set up, maintain and troubleshoot end user mobile devices

* Mentor less experienced staff

* Install and configure software

* Provide telephone-based and in-person support for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues

* Set up and configure printers, scanners and other peripherals

* Maintain and support conference room audio visual equipment

* Manage and maintain parts of Active Directory

* Maintain inventory of hardware and software resources and parts

* Document issue resolution

* Document work flow

* Diagnose hardware problems, the perform and/or coordinate the repair of the hardware

* Recommend changes in methods and procedures to improve efficiency of a specific function

* Work user created service cases

Position Qualifications

* Technical knowledge to perform computer troubleshooting

* Technical knowledge to perform repairs on printers and other network peripherals

* The ability to work independently

* The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

* Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related network services

Education:

* Associates degree in Information Technology or Network Administration, Bachelor s degree preferred

* 2-3 years of experience in desktop support preferred

* 3-5 years of information technology preferred
