Senior System Administrator
i3 is seeking a Senior System Administrator specializing in designing, testing, implementing, and supporting secure operating systems, networks, and applications in a mixed environment of Linux and Windows systems. The position requires the implementation and support of systems with a focus on DoD Information Assurance policy to include application of STIGs and compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls.
A successful candidate will:
Be responsible for loading and supporting required system software including: respective office software, additional products in the Microsoft and Linux suite of software, test applications and GOTS (Government Off The Shelf) and COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) Software.
Support, troubleshoot and resolve software/hardware conflicts/problems on these platforms: Microsoft Server 2012, Microsoft Server 2008 r2, Windows 7, RedHat Enterprise Linux, and CentOS workstations, configuration and installation of related peripherals.
Configure network devices in accordance with best practices and DISA STIGs.
Coordinate efforts with Information Assurance personnel to resolve Incident Requests and Configuration Change Requests.
Be able to quickly adapt to new situations, have a strong commitment to a team environment, maintain a capacity to work with little supervision, and demonstrate the willingness to learn new technologies.
Possess the capacity to work unsupervised and have an ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with co-workers as well as management.
Possess experience with Windows Server 2012/2008R2, file/system storage administration, VMware, and patch management solutions.
Possess knowledge of clustered computing environments.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information systems or related technical field and ten (10) years of experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems and related networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) required. Must have experience managing Windows/LINUX servers/systems in a large enterprise, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
NFS and SMB/CIFS administration and troubleshooting experience required.
Demonstrated experience developing backup solutions for servers, SAN, and NAS required.
Experience with Host Based Security System (HBSS) or McAfee EPO server required.
Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solutions (ACAS) or Nessus required.
Must have strong troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication skills also required.
Must meet DoD 8570.01 requirements.
Must have an active DoD Secret Security clearance.
Candidate must have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
