Job Description

Our Senior Systems Analyst will report directly to the Director of Application Development and is primarily responsible for gathering business requirements on medium to large projects for new software applications and maintenance of existing software applications. Uses independence and judgement to recognize and resolve complex problems within policy and procedure. Is accountable for the planning, execution, quality, timeliness and accuracy of work.

Key Areas of Responsibility will include:



-Identification and documentation of business processes and system requirements, and produce functional specifications as required. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience facilitating productive meetings with subject matter experts (SME) to formulate business strategies and requirements, and translate business needs into actionable system requirements.
-Acquiring approval from users on Requirement documentation.
-Creating software development project plans.
-Provides independent functional leadership to development team members in systems requirements and design techniques including internal review and approval of project work.
-Resolves Help Desk tickets in priority order within agreed timeframes.
-Involved in integration tests of software before QA testing.

- Comprehensive knowledge of computer software development process and applications.
-Demonstrated experience in complex project planning and management skills.
-Demonstrated verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
-Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
-Familiar with relational database management, client-server, and web application concepts.
-Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or on a team and meet deadlines.
-Strong Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
-Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible enough to work through the issues to get the right things done.


Educational Requirements:



-Bachelor�� s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university; or five to eight years of related experience and/or technical training; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
