Position Summary:

This position will support the US and International tax functions of the Tax Department with a particular focus on the income tax accounting process. The Senior Tax Accountant will primarily be responsible for the Company s preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated income tax provision.


On a monthly basis:

* Monitors monthly submissions to OneSource Tax Provision ( OTP )

* Reconciles OTP submissions to the G/L

* Reviews the monthly submissions for reasonableness

* Prepares return to provision for tax returns received during the month

* Monitors the status of international tax return compliance

* Liaises with International Accountants and Regional Controllers, as required

* Serves as main administrator of OTP

* Prepares monthly tax account reconciliation

* Maintains status of international tax audits

On a quarterly and annual basis:

* Prepares the quarterly tax provision in OTP and excel

* Prepares annual consolidation of the income tax provision in OTP

* Prepares support for income tax rates

* Proves deferred taxes and income taxes payable on an annual basis

* Prepares valuation allowance analysis, as needed

* Reviews ETR reconciliations

* Prepares certain book tax difference and discrete tax calculations

* Maintains uncertain tax positions

* Liaises with International Accountants and Regional Controllers, as required

* Prepares required SEC disclosures

* Enters calculations into OTP as needed

Essential Functions:

* Assists as necessary, other areas of the company with various tax issues. Researches and prepares recommendations on various tax issues

* Assists with various tax audits; prepares responses to information document requests; reviews proposed settlements for accuracy, etc.

* Performs other related duties, research projects, and planning projects as needed

* Supports the tax accounting, international tax, and domestic tax functions, as needed

* Upholds the Crawford Code of Conduct.


* B.S. in Accounting required

* CPA required

* Minimum 2 years hands-on corporate income tax and tax accounting experience


Strong computer skills required, especially Microsoft Excel

OneSource Provision, Uncertain Tax Position, and Income Tax preferred

Income Tax Accounting experience preferred

Very good verbal and written communication skills required

Strong analytical ability required

Ability to research, read and interpret tax laws, regulations and rulings required

Strong organizational and project management skills, ability to set priorities and ability to meet deadlines required

Ability to interact with all levels in the organization and with various tax authorities required


* Masters of Tax preferred.

* Combination of Big 4 CPA experience
