Senior Tax Analyst

Job Description Summary

Your primary responsibility will be to assume a supporting role for the reporting of the Company's tax accounting and domestic compliance. You will assist the US Tax Manager in supporting the tax accounting function of the Company by ensuring continued compliance with US GAAP and US tax law. As an integral member of the U.S. Tax group, you will also assist in identifying opportunities that will maximize earnings and cash flow by minimizing the Company's effective tax rate and cash tax burden

Job Description



Responsibilities



* Provide support to prepare / review quarterly/annual consolidated income tax provisions prepared under US GAAP;

* Support the implementation of tax provision tools to be used in the global process;

* Assist in developing cash tax and ETR models;

* Assist in the preparation and filing of local, state and federal tax returns;

* Assist in the preparation of the quarterly tax federal and state income tax returns including all analysis and support;

* Provide support for audits of federal and state income tax and state and local filings;

* Assist in the review of indirect tax filings by the BPO;



* Develop a strong relationship and work closely with the global controllership team and global tax team;

* Maintain an excellent professional relationship with the external auditors while effectively managing and responding to the audit;

* Apply tax laws and regulations to support tax return positions, audit defense, tax planning, etc.;

* Identify, develop and implement US tax planning opportunities and lower ETR;

* Communicate and develop relationship with business unit finance personnel as well as outside consultants;

* Oversee, direct and develop tax staff.



Requirements



* 4+ years of relevant tax accounting and domestic tax compliance experience

* BS/BA in accounting or finance

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

* Experience with OneSource Tax Provision

* Effective verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision



The following are also preferred:



* CPA

* MBA, MST or JD

* Big 4 experience

10-15% travel anticipated

Physical Requirements



* Involves work of a general office nature; typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a day

* May involve periods of standing, such as operating at a copier/fax/scanner

* Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type

* Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you

* Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing

* Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understand

* Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displays
