Job Description

Summary:
The Senior Tax Manager is primarily responsible for handling the Companyandacirc;andeuro;andtrade;s tax accounting activities (FAS 109 and Fin 48), the implementation and maintenance of tax provision software, and various other projects as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of the Companyandacirc;andeuro;andtrade;s accounting and financial reporting related to FAS 109 and FIN 48. Work closely with the corporate controllerandacirc;andeuro;andtrade;s organization and others to prepare tax provision calculations to determine the Companyandacirc;andeuro;andtrade;s effective tax rate. Prepare tax-related footnote disclosures and commentary to be included in the Companyandacirc;andeuro;andtrade;s SEC filings. Coordinate the identification, analysis and documentation of FIN 48 Uncertain Tax Positions. Analyze new and proposed tax legislation and accounting pronouncements to determine their impact on the Companyandacirc;andeuro;andtrade;s tax accounting positions. Provide assistance in determining the tax accounting consequences and risks associated with various business matters, including asset transfers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing alternatives, contracts, licenses and employee benefit plans. Prepare or review account reconciliations of various balance sheet tax accounts. Emphasize and incorporate Sarbanes Oxley processes and procedures Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. CPA, MBA or MST a plus. At least 7 to 10 years of progressive tax experience in either public accounting and/or private industry (preferably in a manufacturing environment) with significant FAS 109/FIN 48 experience. Experience with international operations a plus. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong research, investigative and analytical skills. Strong team-building skills and the proven ability to work with a diverse group of people. Demonstrated leadership skills and focus on exceeding goals and results. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with Oracle ERP, Insource RS and Vertex systems a plus.
