TITLE: SENIOR TECHNICAL WRITER

JOB DESCRIPTION:

* Superb writing and editing skills with a broad portfolio of work that demonstrates the capability to turn complex technical information into easy-to-understand and engaging content
* Close attention to detail and focus on ensuring accuracy and completeness of technical documentation
* Demonstrated ability to work with engineering, product management, and QA to understand product(s), develop source material, and complete documentation deliverables to coincide with major releases
* Eagerness to take ownership of assigned projects, with exceptional follow-through and superior organizational abilities, requiring minimal supervision
* Strong and fearless problem-solving skills (focuses on the many things that s/he can do rather than being blocked by the obstacles in the way)
* Intellectual curiosity with a desire to learn new skills and technologies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; flexible, adaptable, cheerful (with a good sense of humor) and willing to do what needs doing
* Focus on constantly improving both documentation and product quality; willingness to report defects and take an active role in UI development, training, and/or usability sessions
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, as well as previous experience working with a distributed team
* Minimum of 5years' experience as a technical writer in the software industry, writing a broad spectrum of documentation (end-user documentation, administrator guides, installation guides, API guides, release notes) for enterprise software applications
* Extensive experience writing for non-technical end-users
* Experience with ROBOHELP AND FRAME MAKER (unstructured or structured), Microsoft Office, graphics tools, single-sourcing
* BA/BS or equivalent in English, Technical Communications, Communications or something totally unrelated that you really loved
* Experience with pharmaceutical or medical device industry would be desirable
