Sabre is currently recruiting for a Senior UNIX Systems Administrator to work in Suitland, MD.
Job Description:
Candidate will work in a fast paced large database transaction environment. The successful candidate will be part of an on-site team that provides support to manage the mission-critical computer systems and networks which provide the technological infrastructure support for our Federal client. Candidate will also participate in building a knowledge base of emerging technologies in network and systems management. Other responsibilities include network management, POSIX systems management, geographic applications support, disaster recovery, and system and network security.

Campus building is located in Suitland MD and is minutes from DC and the Wilson bridge, and is metro accessible. Candidates who are hired will have access to the brand new on-site gym and cafeteria. Free covered garage parking is available.

Job Requirements:
-Candidate must have a B.S. degree in a computer related discipline -Minimum of 5+ years of direct experience as a System Administrator with demonstrated expertise in COTS administration, installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations and maintenance -Experience with applications and tools used in the management of Unix-based systems, particularly Solaris, Linux (Ubuntu) and Irix -Storage management experience (Veritas Volume Manager, clustered storage systems, etc) and some programming and shell scripting skills are required -Hands on experience in the following infrastructure/applications: Apache Server, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) architecture, Samba server, Apache Tomcat server and Windows OS -Knowledge or awareness of Apache, Tomcat, PVCS, CVS, Doors, Citrix, SAS, ESRI ArcGIS, ArcSDE and ArcIMS
Candidate must be able to obtain a Confidential Clearance and be a US citizen or have an H1B visa and have lived in the US for at least 2 years.
