Senior Web Developer

Position Purpose:

Developer will participate in the architecting, design and implementation of web applications according to best practices set by the IT department. Candidate will provide user support, production support and enhancements to the existing web sites and applications. Candidate can work off-site but must be willing to travel to White Plains as needed; flexible work schedule can be arranged.
-Developer will need to be able to work independently and with a group in full lifecycle development. Developer will need to be able to interpret business functionality in to technical requirements and be able to delegate and share load and responsibilities with other co-workers. Developer will need to preform test and debugging of systems, upgrades and maintenance of applications, and effectively be able to multitask on multiple projects .

Position Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain technical structure of the MOD web sites.
-Participate in enterprise application and database design, development, enhancement and tuning.
-Respond to customer and other college's requests for assistance.
-Provide user support for existing and replacement systems.
-Produce code using specifications developed by Technology Director, Project Leader, and users.
-Assist in the creation and testing of mission critical web-based systems.
-Integrate Internet initiatives with current systems.
-Translate functional requirements into technical specifications, create technical documentation, and develop visual back-end components of the application.
-Maintain an in-depth knowledge of company web sites, including familiarity with hardware, software, and operating systems. .

Qualifications Required

: Bachelors Degree required
-7 to 10 years development experience.
-At least 5 years web experience.
-Experience with Social Networking applications, Facebook, IPhone Apps, Android Big +
-5 years Microsoft development experience.
-Strong Hands on experience with ASP, ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, IIS 5 + 6, ADO, XML and XSL.
-Hands on experience with database development MS SQL server 2005/2008.
-Hands on experience with API's Web Services and third party tool integrations.
-Self-starter able to work independently as well as take direction, and work in a team environment.
-Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
-Must have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
-LAST 3 WORKING YEARS MUST BE IN WEB DEVELOPMENT
-Candidate can work - offsite but must be willing to travel to White Plains, NY as needed.
-Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. .
