Department Ko'Sin Restaurant Job Description Server (PM) - Ko'sin Restaurant Hourly Wage plus gratuity / Non-Exempt Our Ko'Sin Restaurant features desert bistro cuisine, where we host breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ko'Sin, meaning 'kitchen' in the Pima language, delights guests with delectable dishes amid stunning views of the Sierra Estrella Mountain Range. Our Servers in this welcoming environment truly make the difference in the guests' dining experience. We are currently searching for someone who can consistently provide prompt, engaging, and accurate food and beverage service within this specialty restaurant. Previous Server experience, ideally within a full service dining environment necessary. Independent, chain, country club, or hotel outlet experience strongly preferred. General wine knowledge also preferred. The selected candidate will possess excellent communication skills to more effectively engage both guests and fellow Associates. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AVERAGE ' OF TIME 60' Take orders for and serve all food and beverage requests, using suggestive selling techniques. Clear tables during service. Control guest checks and secure proper payment. 20' Ensure station and table set-ups are complete and perform various side duties as assigned by the Outlet Supervisor. 20' Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and servicing equipment. Other: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10&176;F) and kitchens (+110&176;F), possibly for one hour or more. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis. Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. frequently. Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the hotel on a timely basis. Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
