Business Unit Overview
Valves & Controls manufactures valves, actuators, and controls solutions for some of the most challenging applications throughout the oil and gas, power, mining, chemical and pharmaceutical, food and beverage and building and construction industries. We partner with customers to help keep their operations running safely, minimize downtime and improve business efficiency.
The successful candidate will have experience in accurately and efficiently processing production and pro-actively tracking production processes through to completion; scheduling all production phases of each job, utilizing all machinery and employees efficiently, based on the promised delivery date and available resources, inventory, manpower, etc.; providing production personnel with detailed daily schedules; coordinating with Receiving to confirm that the necessary materials have been received and will be available on the production day they are needed; rescheduling jobs as needed; serving as the information source for inquiries from all company departments regarding order status, shipment dates, etc.; acting as the liaison between customer service and production.
Job Requirements & Skills
1-2 years of experience in Production Planning preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must; Excel skills are mandatory
Good communication skills and strong organizational and prioritization skills required
Experience in SAP strongly preferred
Experience in Lean Manufacturing preferred
Whiling to work overtime requiredapproximately 10-20%
Physical tasks include walking, grasping, carrying, lifting, seeing, hand-eye coordination, listening, and writing, speaking and traveling.
Mental tasks include reading, interpreting, analyzing, calculating, measuring and communicating.
Work in an environment that occasionally produces a high level of mental/visual fatigue, periodically performed under pressure, requiring intense mental application and attention to detail.
Frequent exposure to one or more unpleasant (noise, heat, dust, etc.) or hazardous conditions 21-50% of work time.
