Job Description

PLANIT Technology Group is currently seeking a Service Desk Analyst II for our client in New York, New York.

Job Description

The IT Operations department has a full-time, regular position available for a Service Desk Analyst, IT Support Operations. IT Support Operations is responsible for all end-user technology support, technical training and related activities.

The primary responsibility of the Service Desk Analyst is to provide front-line technical support to our client's staff, including end-user issue resolution and education on our internal systems. The IT Support Operations team consists of a group of dedicated support professionals working out of our client's Washington, DC headquarters and a number of regional office locations throughout the continental United States.

Responsibilities

. Provide Tier 1 support for all end-user issues related to the client's systems and network infrastructure;
. Support end-user hardware including workstations, printers, faxes, copiers, and wireless and telecommunication systems;
. Support end-user standard workstation software and systems, including the current application suite (including e-mail), remote connectivity (including VPN), browser and antivirus solutions;
. Utilize an internal call tracking system for end-user incident management and reporting; and
. Dispatch Service Desk incident requests
. Perform IT related project assignments, autonomously or in a team role.

The position will require occasional travel between all client locations including VA, NY, TX, CA, GA, CO, IL and DC. Work outside of regular business hours will be required on a periodic basis.

Qualifications

. High school diploma or equivalency, with at least 5 years experience in an end user support role in a corporate/enterprise IT environment;
. At least 3 years experience in the following:
- All aspects of the Microsoft Windows XP operating systems;
- Installing, configuring, maintaining and restoring hardware systems; experience with Dell workstation hardware platforms a plus;
- Major office productivity applications, including Microsoft Office XP or higher (MOS Certification a plus), Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer, and MAPI e-mail clients; and
- Supporting personnel in person or via phone/remote control utilizing a call tracking based system.
