Seeking a tech- savvy Service Desk Technician to join the largest private network owner of freestanding veterinary hospitals in the United States!

The National Veterinary Associates (NVA) provides tools and resources for hospitals to meet high standards of medicine and care. ? Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems
? Alert management to emerging trends in incidents
? Assist in software releases and roll-outs according to Change Management best practices
? Assisting in providing Level I support when request volumes are high
? Act as an escalation point for advanced or difficult help requests
? Build rapport with service desk customers
? Escalate problems when necessary
? Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting
? Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases and FAQ resources on the Internet to aid problem resolution
? Perform hands- on fixes at the desktop level, including installing hardware, installing cabling which may be located in ceiling below desks
? Install anti- virus software and ensure virus definitions are up to date
? Perform preventative maintenance
? Test fixes to ensure problem has been resolved
? Develop help sheet and FAQ

The ideal candidate will have:

? College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 5+ years equivalent work experience
? Technology certification (preferred)
? Knowledge of advanced computer hardware
? Experience with desktop and server operating systems
? Extensive application support experience with Active Directory 2008 R2, Group Policy Management, Remote Desktop Management, and Licensing, DNS and DHCP
? Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities
? Exceptional written and oral communication skills
? Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport- building, listening and questioning skills
? Strong documentation skills
