Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Service Line Manager to oversee the Safety Requirements Assurance area of Strategic Systems Programs. This challenging opportunity is located at our Redland Corporate Center Facility in Rockville.


You will be responsible for planning and coordinating staff involvement in Safety studies concerned with the design, production, integration, operation, and maintenance of complex nuclear/conventional weapon systems. You will also coordinate, technical evaluations of complex systems to include changes to system interface Coordination with respect to personnel safety. Other responsibilities will include the coordination of qualitative and/or quantitative Probability Risk Assessments and System Hazards Analysis. Coordination of the conduct of independent hazard assessment reviews for impacts to system and personnel safety and the maintenance of a hazard tracking database. Coordinating the review of technical documentation/drawings/instructions for the impact to system and personnel safety. Coordinating independent recommendations to the customer for contractor originated changes. Coordinating reviews of nuclear accident/incident reports, waivers, deviations, Blue Ribbon Committee studies and, TFRs/URs/TDENTs affecting safety. Coordinating the development of DoD mandated System Safety Analysis, Inadvertent Launch Analysis (ILAs) and, Unauthorized Launch Analysis (ULAs). The Tracking of the necessary metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assure success and communicate status to customers and Program Line management.

Requirements:
Required Skills:

-Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years total related experience
-Extensive SWS/AWS or Nuclear Weapons Experience
-Active DoD Secret security clearance with eligibility to obtain a DoD TS clearance
-Evidence of Mechanical Aptitude, with a basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and, mechanical devices
-Supervisory experience
-Exhibit the ability to work independently and in a team environment
-Excellent presentation (oral and written) skills
-Customer interface experience
-Ability and willingness to travel
Preferred Skills:

-Active TS Clearance
-Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field, with an emphasis on safety
-Knowledge of system engineering principles
-Broad technical experience with SWS Community
-Subsafe program Experience
