Job Description
Service Sales Manager
Pep Boys is looking for qualified service management candidates to join our team as a Service Sales Manager at our Service & Tire Center (STC) location in Fox River Grove, IL
The Service Sales Manager is responsible for supporting the day-to-day service operations of an assigned store, delivering expected service sales results by ensuring in-store execution of programs and standards. Responsibilities include:
-improving performance through a focus on the development of the service teams, providing on-going guidance, leadership and direction for assigned stores. Ensuring the execution of customer service standards and customer satisfaction programs.
-building customer loyalty by helping to develop a store team that exceed customer s expectations.
-Ensuring the achievement of sales, productivity and profitability.
-Working directly with customers to ensure their automotive service needs are met.
-Providing procedural guidance to ensure that the store comply with policies and procedures, security, safety, and environmental codes and ordinances.
Reporting to the STC Manager, the Service Sales Manager supervises and directs all associates in the service department, and is responsible for the effective operation of the service department to include sales, productivity and profitability. The Service Sales Manager is also responsible for ensuring that the store operates under safe conditions according to established policies and procedures and in compliance with federal, state, county and municipal regulations. This position work closely with the STC Manager and hourly employees to achieve overall sales and operational objectives.
Requirements:
The qualified candidate will have:
-3+ years of service desk experience in automotive service repair and/or a combination ot automotive technician and service desk experience.
-displaying strong people management and leadership skills
-excellent verbal and written communication
-sound business sense
-a comprehensive understanding of the retail industry
-completed two years of college or technical school program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-a current, valid driver s license issued in the state of residence.
-a background check and drug screen are also part of the selection process
