Job Summary

WE ARE ADDING TO OUR TEAM
ConAgra Foods in Turners Falls, Massachusetts, a local manufacturer of Lightlife Foods products, is seeking qualified individuals to fill open positions in our Shipping Department. Serious candidates, minorities & women are encouraged to apply.

A. General:
Adhere to HAACP guidelines. SQF and Good Manufacturing Practices, following all sanitation and process procedures and guidelines.

Operate power industrial trucks in a safe manner- understand and follow all related operating and safety SOPs.

Communicate suggestions for improving safety, quality and efficiency.

Participate in departmental team meetings.

Assist with training and retraining of team members.

B. Shipping:
Follow customer requirements as detailed on the pick list.

Build orders in a timely fashion while maximizing quality and accuracy.

Complete all necessary paperwork on the day of activity.

Check all built orders for proper quantities and lot codes prior to loading. Record total cases per pallet on destination tags and pick list.

Shrink-wrap all pallets to ensure load stability during transport.

Load trucks following safety guidelines and according to the daily manifest.

Assure that the driver verifies load and signs proper papers.

C. Material Handling, Organization and Inventory:

Pick ingredients/dry goods per specification from production.

Store warehouse goods in designated areas.

Take monthly finished goods inventory, and assist in the daily cycle counting of inventory or as needed.

Maintain accessibility of materials by properly rotating stock.

Ensure that the cooler and freezer are well organized at all times.

Assure protection of materials during storage.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing environment using lifts, reaches, pallet jacks, boom lifts, picking and processing orders, using a pallet wrap machine.
