JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Responsibilities include preparing bills of lading for common carriers. Reviewing rates, schedules locations of common carrier routes and determines 'best-routing' for all shipments and arranges pick-up with carriers. and log into the M1 system.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
*Prepares bills of lading for all shipments including destination, weights, description of material etc.
*Communicates with customers, warehouse and inventory/purchasing personnel regarding shipping delivery dates and partial back orders.
*Preparing product for production activities to include packing of material and staging.
*Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
*Maintains company shipping database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
*Perform Cycle Counts. And other duties assigned by the department supervisor.
*Maintain and promote a safe and hazard free work environment. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines. This includes wearing personal protective equipment as required.
*Work daily within M1 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system issuing time and materials to the projects that are being manufactured.
*International & Domestic shipping experience- UPS, FedEx and truck shipment and LTL
*Strong computer skills, Excel, Microsoft Word Outlook and use of MRP systems
*Understanding inventory control activities such as cycle counts.
*Strong Organizational skills and attention to detail.
*Familiarity with computers and Windows based computer programs is a plus
*High school education is preferred, but not mandatory
*Forklift experience preferred, but not mandatory
