JOB DESCRIPTIONRole Purpose
Performs administrative duties to provide inventory accuracy, record keeping and report compilation at the GKN Aerospace - SC Facility in Orangeburg, SC. Need to be able to physically ship and receive aircraft components. This position requires attention to detail, a high level of organization and computer skills. Key Responsibilities
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Receive all incoming freight into MRP system and put in proper stock location
Ship out freight and pull required documentation from MRP system.
Check all consumable inventory and hardware and replenish if necessary.
Ensure all items scheduled for shipment are packed and secured correctly.
Keep records and information up to date in customer portals.
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, notify quality team of damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with responsible parties to rectify damages and shortages.
Cycle counts of customer supplied stock.
Process and physically ship all outgoing product to customer.
Pull kits from stock and systematically issue to the floor.
Maintains records and balances information for control purposes.
Ensure the company's commitment to maintain a safe workplace and to protect the environment through the establishment and support of Company policy.
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Must be physically able to occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Qualifications / Experience / Skills
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Some clerical work experience required.
Training and/or work experience in each of the following skills required: written and verbal communication; handling multiple priorities and demands; exhibiting flexibility and adaptability in a high stress and/or ambiguous work environment; operation of personal computers; use of Microsoft Office software programs Excel, Word, & PowerPoint); and use of other standard office equipment.
MRP system experience is preferred.
