The Small Business Banking Specialist will develop new commercial loan and depository relationships specifically targeting small businesses with $3 million or less in annual revenue. Provide financial advice and counsel to prospects and customers on credit structure and other products and services focused on helping new and existing businesses understand cash flow. In addition to individual business development, this position will work closely with designated Retail Banking Management to develop and execute strategies to maximize local small business market share. Establish a referral network and build relationships within an established COI network.

**For this position, federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigatory consumer report which will disclose credit history. If you express interest in and are considered for this position, you will be asked to authorize that report.

Education: Business or related degree

Experience: The preferred candidate will have a strong sales background that includes marketing, prospecting, cold calling, consultative selling, and a proven record of results. B2B experience highly desirable. Previous credit analysis experience is preferred but not required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
