Social Event Sales and Catering Manager Imperia - Banquet and Conference Center! We are seeking a motivated , enthusiastic and professional Event Sales Manager with a sales skill set which is conducive to the Special Events and Social sales markets. We are searching for a results oriented professional to join us at our upscale banquet and conference center, The Imperia. Located in Central Jersey, the Imperia is an excellent facility with an outstanding reputation for great food, exceptional service, and an unparalleled atmosphere. The Imperia is ranked as one of the top banquet centers in New Jersey and is "Simply Extraordinary". The perfect candidate must show a proven track record of sales in all areas. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: * Driving revenues in different segments with a heavy focus on corporate, social and wedding business. * Exceeding customers' expectations with great knowledge, and genuine service. * Developing and maintaining exceptional relationships. * Prospecting for new business by conducting quality outside calls, telephone solicitations utilization of Internet, newspapers and magazines, creating a referral network, social networking, etc. . . * Qualifying internal leads and turning inquires into events. * Booking and detailing events with accuracy. * Up sell menu items to maximize revenues while providing increased value and an exceptional experience to our guests. * Being a team player to promote a positive atmosphere for our associates while keeping the highest of standards in place. * Providing input on marketing of The Imperia to gain the maximum exposure. * Assisting in the creation and execution of an annual Sales & Marketing plan. * Provide input to ensure our menus are fresh and up-to-date. * Recommending pricing that shows tremendous value to our guest while profitability margins are met. * Accurate and timeliness of reporting (weekly plans, results, production, etc. . .)
