The Social Media Editor manages the social media presence and execution for the EatingWell brand, engaging with our social audiences to drive traffic and grow scale. As our on-site community grows, this person will also be responsible for working with the digital team to cultivate our on-site community as well. A passion for social media and an interest in food, nutrition, health and wellness are essential. The Social Media Editor:

Develops and executes a social media growth strategy for each key platform to further extend the digital reach of the brand
Pitches and writes social-targeted and trending content for EatingWell.com.
Develops and works with digital team to execute partner, blogger and influencer outreach programs
Develops cross-platform and platform-specific editorial calendar for social media
Determines content needs for social (video, live video, designed graphics, articles, recipes, etc.) and works with content and design teams to create
Works with content teams to coordinate social media promotion plan for each piece of content created
Writes daily posts for and engages with followers on all EatingWell.com social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and Google+.
Monitors referral traffic and analyzes site and platform metrics to meet both on-site and platform goals
Collaborates with print and digital teams to develop and oversee cross-channel social media programs
Monitors competitor s social media presence and leverages best practices to make EatingWell.com s presence competitive
Implements marketing sponsorships and content partnerships on all social channels.
Collaborate with the digital director to create platform-specific sponsorship opportunities and communicate social strength to sales team
Keeps staff informed on social media best practices, competitor growth/activities and new opportunities.
Develops category knowledge by attending conferences/webinars.
Attends regular meetings and in-house training on site structure, web metrics, and marketing strategies.
Assists the Digital Director and editorial team with relevant site projects as needed.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism/Communications, Marketing, English or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
Minimum 3-4 years digital editorial and/or social media writing and strategy experience for a large brand. Experience writing for digital clips in the verticals of food, nutrition, health and wellness are a plus.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and love of social media platforms, strategy and analytics is required.
Exceptional writing and strong organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines and multitask at a fast pace.
Basic HTML, Photoshop, Google Analytics SEO, and CMS skills are preferred.
Expertise or interest in food, nutrition, health and wellness is preferred.
Energetic, well organized and proactive team player
% Travel Required (Approximate): 5-10%.
