The North American Digital Factory team helps manufacturing operations realize operational efficiency and improve employee productivity by deploying effective and efficient Digital Factory tools.

Create futuristic software applications to enable and unlock the value of data in the manufacturing arena. Connect to manufacturing processes to stream data and perform real time analytics to improve process yield and the products of the highest quality by using the best software and hardware architecture.



The North American Digital Factory team develops future of man machine interaction for wearable computing by developing Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality applications using various devices (Microsoft HoloLens, HTC Vive); develop cloud based applications and real time analytics



This role will report to the Senior Manager Digital Factory Automotive North America and will work closely with the Global Digital Engineering Services organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Responsible for roll out of Digital Factory tools for the manufacturing sites located in U.S. and Mexico

* Champion for Digital QIP roll out for various value streams at different manufacturing sites for the region

* Roll-out and Train operators, supervisors and Engineers for Digital Factory Tools

* Monitor performance of rolled out systems and work with Corporate IT to find fast and effective resolution

* Work with process owners to obtain feedback for user experience and work with Corporate IT to find resolution

* Monitor usage of system and report out monthly metrics to the Management

* Work with DF Team to roll out SPC systems, train plant teams and monitor usage and performance

* Prepare plant specific documentation and help files for training /end user needs

* Establish and maintain communication between customer and trouble owner

* Serve as the Regional Lead for Data mining and Analytics of manufacturing process data



Required Technical Skills

* Windows application development and web development

* Objected oriented programming skills

* Program / develop cutting edge Rich Internet Applications (RIA) using Microsoft Visual Studio or other IDE tools for optimum user experience

* Experience with Microsoft languages in .Net environment (Visual Basic and C#)

* Experience with scripting languages (examples: VBScript, Python, etc.)

* Experience with programming and developing web applications (Examples: JavaScript, JSON, CSS, Rest API, HTML5, etc.)

* Data Visualization and charting controls (examples: D3 and Plotty)

* Relational database experience (examples: Stored Procedures, Triggers, SQL debugging tools and advanced SQL scripting knowledge)

* Ability to research and select software technology stack

* Testing and validation of software applications

* Source code control and archiving

* Software roll out and training of work force

Technical Areas of Interest

* Exposure to and understanding of MES (MPDV Hydra, Ignition or similar systems) and ERP Systems (SAP)

* Cloud Computing Architecture Amazon Web Services, Microsoft SQL Azure

* Experience with mobile application development and troubleshooting is preferred

* Exposure to Big Data Architecture NoSQL, Amazon Dynamo, MongoDB, Hadoop

* Exposure to IoT and related technologies

* Ability to conceptualize and develop applications for wearable technologies for manufacturing needs

* Experience with Unity3D software or Adobe s 3D modeling and rendering tools or similar platforms

* Exposure to Cognitive computing and Machine Learning methods

* Understanding of manufacturing networks and firewalls

Education Qualifications

* Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science / Electrical / Electronics Engineering with hands on software development experience
