Superior Group is hiring a Software Applications Manager for a Direct Hire Opportunity with a growing medical device company in the Lancaster, NY area. The Software Applications Manager oversees the planning, management and operation for supporting and ensuring the reliability, stability and integrity of company's (ERP) software, CRM software ( as well as other third party applications to include Microsoft Office suite of applications, Crystal Reports, Pervasive SQL, etc.

In addition to managing software programs, this position is responsible for management of all outsourced IT support. Reporting to the CFO, this management position exercises discretion, independent judgment, and strategic leadership to deliver employee support services as it relates to our in-house corporate software application systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Management of outside IT company and basic IT troubleshooting on site – outsourced companies for computer, phones, copiers, etc.
Develop and adhere to annual IT budget
Overseeing the operation of Global Shop Solutions (Buffalo) and Sage 100 (St. Louis) - including upgrades and fixes when necessary.
Develop custom reporting for to assist sales team and management.
Maintains and updates software validation documentation to current regulatory standards.
Implement corporate and strategic initiatives (e-commerce, etc.)
Customizing reports/forms through Crystal Reports and their integration within GSS and Sage.
Actively researching process improvements and cost saving measures.
Providing company-wide training and technical support.
Troubleshoot and assist personnel in day to day issues and problems with ERP systems.
Review/create monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and monitor the activities required each month through ERP.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar program
Minimum 5 years experience demonstrating a progression in management experience to senior level
Minimum 2 years experience.
Minimum 4 years experience with SQL-based ERP systems.
Minimum 2 years experience with Crystal Reports

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Knowledge of FDA/GMP manufacturing environment preferable
Strong Project Management Skills
Understanding of Microsoft Access/ODBC
Excellent team work, good communication skills to work closely within department.
