Software Tools Support Engineer Opportunity

Location: Melbourne, FL

Duration: 6-12 months

Essential Functions:

? Setup and admin of SW build tools and repositories
? Setup and lockdown of permissions (read-only) from binaries built using the build tools
? Deployment of software binaries and configuration ?packages? to QA Environments
? Provide ?packages? to IT to deploy to Production Environments
? Conversion of legacy products to new SW build tools to OS?s that are supported

Interactions:

Supervision Received:

? Receives general instructions on what is to be done, limitations, quality and quantity expected, deadlines, and priority of assignments from Teamleader.
? Uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments and receives additional specific instructions from Teamleader for new, difficult, or special projects/assignments.
? Is expected to be able to research and collaborate with the team (SW and IT departments) in order to accomplish tasks and objectives

Minimum Qualifications:

? BS degree in computer science or engineering (Computer engineering preferred)
? Strong Linux operating system experience
? 3 years previous experience with SW Build tools
? Knowledge of scripting languages to support builds (Perl, Python, etc) on legacy product lines
? Setup and maintain virtual machines
? Moderate knowledge of networking and permissions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

? Knowledge of Software Development processes and procedures
? Proficient with MS Office tools including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
? SW Tools experience like Git, TFS, ClearCase, etc
