i3 has an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer at Redstone Arsenal. In a DoD environment, the candidate will develop solutions, support the technical lead, and work with other developers/consultants to meet the customer requirements.
Designs programmatic solutions within the architectural constraints of the applications. Isolates and resolves reported application problems. Assists with the creation of project specifications, documentation and prototypes. Writes programs according to specification.
* Design, develop and deploy advanced data integrations and migrations using a variety of tools.
* Must have strong client-server application development experience.
* Evaluate the latest development frameworks and decide on the best approach.
* Evaluate Business needs on a project basis and help to determine the best technology to be used.
* Design, develop and maintain code.
* Participate in project status meetings as required and provide project status updates.
* Troubleshoot and ensure timely and effective resolutions of any project issues.
The applicant must have strong working knowledge of T-SQL, C#, C++, ASP.net, VB.net and classic ASP.
The successful candidate must be a self-starter with an advanced level of experience working with Microsoft .Net, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 & higher, and Visual Studio.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information systems or related technical field and seven (7) years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of coding, database maintenance and administration of SQL Server 2008 or higher.
Knowledge of T-SQL, C#, C++, ASP.net, VB.net and classic ASP.
TSQL, Performance Tuning, SSIS Packages, Clustering, Replication, Database Links, Maintenance Plan / SQL Job usage.
Experience with complicated database organizational structures, triggers, and stored procedures.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand user requests and translate them into technical requirements.
Experience documenting new and existing processes as well as updating existing documentation when changes are necessary.
Experience managing Windows/LINUX systems in a small environment.
Experience with storage, SAN, NFS, and SMB/CIFS administration & troubleshooting.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Must meet DoD 8570.01 requirements (minimal required Security+ CE)
Must have an active DoD Secret Security clearance.
Experience in Object Oriented Development; specifically C# and/or VB.Net
Strong database design and implementation, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or higher, is required; database administration experience is highly desired.
SDLC and/or Team Software Processes Familiarity.
Familiarity with using Visual Studio 2008 or higher.
Familiarity with Extensible Markup Language (XML) and XPath.
Familiarity with classic ASP.
Experience with Java is also highly desired.
