The Software Developer will be responsible for the development, daily management, and delivery of various technology-related services, primarily web-based, which support our firm.


Essential Functions:

* Investigate support questions
* Develop current and new features
* Analyze end users data needs and develop user-oriented solutions interfacing with current applications
* Provide estimates for development effort needed
* Build quality business solutions in a timely manner
* Manage multiple assigned tasks/projects simultaneously
* Work remotely with IT team members who reside in different offices
* Assist in conversion and transition of data and business logic from legacy formats (e.g., Microsoft Visual FoxPro) to current standards (SQL Server, Microsoft .NET technologies)
* Report creation and generation
* Ad-hoc SQL data queries and analysis
* User updates and maintenance on web portals
* Additional responsibilities as assigned


Requirements:

* Bachelor s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience required
* 1 year of related work experience required
* Experience or coursework in Microsoft SQL Server and .Net C# are required
* Experience with MVC and Team Foundation Server (TFS) desired
* Ability to link complex data elements together required
* Must be able to see patterns in data or concepts to form a generic view of a problem
* Is open to sharing deficiencies and gaps in knowledge
* Is open to working with legacy formats with the explicit goal of redevelopment and transition to current technologies
* Ability to prioritize conflicting demands
* Execute assigned projects within established deadlines
* Maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders and team members
* Desire to learn new technologies and enhance existing ones
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Able to communicate well with non-programmers and programmers
* Self-motivated
* Have ability to travel on occasion based on business needs
