* Northrop Grumman Technology Services \(NGTS\) is seeking a junior Software Development Analyst to work within the Defense Travel System \(DTS\) program\. DTS is an enterprise system providing application and infrastructure services to the Department of Defense\. The analyst will report to the Application Services manager to support application and product development efforts in an Agile environment, using both Kaban and Scrum concepts\. Primary responsibilities include analyzing software problem reports, recommending solutions, and implementing changes\.Primary Duty No\. 1:
Support application and product development efforts\. Primary role is to serve as an analyst on the Tier 3 Help Desk team, reproducing issues, performing analysis against requirements, documenting software system defects, performing data change requests via SQL/Shell scripts, and working with the Travel Assistance Center and stakeholders to ensure that issues are clearly documented and resolutions are provided\. Interact with the Travel Assistance Center to perform data change requests to correct errors caused by data anomalies as well as documenting system defects and working with the development team on dispositioning problems, defects vs\. change requests and providing workarounds as necessary\. Evaluates alternatives on his/her own; consults with another colleague; follows well\-established techniques, procedures or standards, asks supervisor what to do, etc\.\)The new employee will be a member of a cross\-functional team\. Any impediments will be discussed at the status meetings where the team will help resolve the issues\.Percentage of Overall Time Spent on Primary Duty No\. 1:

This position also includes Development lifecycle support\. As part of the Agile team, the employee is expected to define test cases, test plans \(may be at the unit level as well as the UAT level\), be involved in design of workflow, develop automated test scripts as well as support for production deployment\. The employee may be asked to perform verification steps after release implementation to validate the deployment\. If problems arise, the employee may be required to conduct research activities to drive out risk, issues, and uncertainty\. This may occur as the new employee will most likely not have the knowledge in various technology domains\. Evaluates alternatives on his/her own; consults with another colleague; follows well\-established techniques, procedures or standards, asks supervisor what to do, etc\.\)The new employee will be a member of a cross\-functional team and participate in an Agile environment\. Any impediments will be discussed at the Daily Scrum meetings where the team/Scrum Master will help resolve the issues\.Percentage of Overall Time Spent on Primary Duty No\. 2:
30%Basic Qualifications:
\- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related fields\- 0 \- 3 years of professional experience\- Basic understanding of SQL, Shell, Pearl, Python, or other scripting languages\- Basic Unix and Linux commands\-US Citizenship is required\.Preferred Qualifications:
