JOB DESCRIPTION- The Quality System Effectiveness (QSE) team is looking for a motivated individual to conduct embedded software audits internally and at suppliers. The job responsibilities require a good understanding of the Software Life Cycle (SLC) processes and RTCA-DO-178B. Candidate will plan and accomplish a wide variety of quality activities, with moderate guidance related to software development and the use of software in test, design and analysis activities. Duties will include and are not limited to the following:- Review internal and Supplier documentation to assure adequacy of definition, and conformance to all P&W requirements.- Support the development of the yearly audit schedule as required- Evaluate and examine Embedded and Modeling software processes for compliance and improvement opportunities.- Collect and analyze process data, and generate presentation material for Supervisor and Management- Evaluate proposed corrective action plan and its effectiveness at eliminating the root cause of the discrepancy. Follow-up to assure the plan is effectively implemented.- Familiar with software support tools which are used for the analysis, design or support of products but not used in the manufacture or acceptance of production product (e.g., software models, tools used to facilitate repetitive calculations, Excel tracking spreadsheet, software tools used to eliminate manual steps, web tools used to track development effort, access databases used to track and tabulate data, etc.).-
- Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision,
manage multiple tasks with varying priorities and deliver results in a
fast paced environment is expected. Travel should also be expected. - Bachelor
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or other
related field with at least 3 years experience in the engineering field
or equivalent. ASQ or CQA auditor certification is helpful but not required
for this position.- Must have excellent proficiency in MS Office applications
such as MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. High degree of computer literacy
is also required. - Candidate should have 5 to 7 years in software quality
experience with a strong understanding of process capability including
AS9100, RTCA-DO-178B, ASQR-01, ASQR-7.5, AS9106, and related P&W - Quality
System procedures. Strong written and verbal communication and applications
including MS Office, plus applied knowledge - Drug Screen- Background Check-
US Citizen or Green Card Holder
