Software engineers will quickly see the results of their work and the impact that work has on the business.
Looking for a Software Engineer to work with the Front Office Technology Group. The group is responsible for delivering mission critical applications used for Trading and Risk Management. The team works very closely with traders, risk management, financialengineering, platform services, and operations. The systems employ Java, C++, Python, and web technologies across a heterogeneous distributed environment.
-Design and develop software components.
-Deliver and support software into the production environment in a timely and robust manner.
-Collaborate with developers on other teams.
-Partner with support teams to ensure that the software is easy to manage in a production environment.
-Assist in developing requirements and propose solutions.
-3+ years of financial industry experience.
-Relevant work experience in Java.
-Experience in Java UIs a plus.
-Experience in C++ and/or Python a plus.
-Experience with multi-threaded and distributed programming.
-Experience with Linux.
-Working knowledge of Windows.
-Highly motivated to understand complicated workflows and produce high quality solutions.
-A love of problem solving.
-Strong analytic and design capabilities, ability to work individually or in a team environment.
-Technical curiosity in learning and maintaining technical acumen.
-B.S. in Computer Science or related engineering fields.
