The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.
KLA-Tencor is seeking a motivated individual for a staff engineer position in world-class algorithm group within the reticle product division (RAPID).
This individual will utilize his/her skills in image processing, mathematics, and software to develop algorithms to be integrated into our state of the art inspection platforms.
Responsibilities of this position include improve optical modeling of the inspection systems; streamline distributed non-linear optimization of model calibration. This includes abstracting specific task into generic mathematic problem, balancing between rigor and practical performances along with comprehensive data analysis.
This person is expected to bring forward creative ideas, develop production code and provide support as needed. This candidate shall be able to work independently with proper instructions, and engage constructively with marketing team on product requirements and provide training to application team.
Significant experience in C++ production software development and object-oriented programming is essential.
The candidate is expected to possess good oral and written communications skills to interact with other development and applications engineers on a daily basis
Strong background in image processing, mathematics and software
Creative, able to formulate solutions through analyzing complex data
PhD or MS in Applied Math / EE / Computer Science or similar
Good communication skills
Knowledge in Geometrical / Fourier optics is highly desired
Knowledge in Electromagnetics is preferred
Knowledge in Photo-Lithography or Large Scale Integrated Circuit process is desired but not required
Machine learning, computation geometry is a plus
Doctorate (Academic) plus at least two years experience or
Master's Level Degree with at least 4 years of experience, or
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
