We are looking for bright, talented, and versatile software engineers to join our team and help us build tools and products that will accelerate the adoption of clean energy, and improve the lives of thousands of users. You ll be responsible for developing cutting-edge web applications that sustain our continued growth. These projects will be challenging, but will play a key role in empowering our workforce and informing our customers and advocates. Some of the software projects we re working on include:

Internal tools to mobilize our workforce
External apps to facilitate solar adoption
Real time energy production and consumption monitoring
Distributed energy management using battery storage
Graphical CAD systems for auditing and design
3D whole house energy simulation models
Pricing and proposal tools
Project management, scheduling, and resource allocation
Complex financial fund modeling
Quadcopters!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Build AngularJS web applications with an ASP.NET MVC backend to assist with the operation and maintenance of our residential/commercial solar energy systems
Maintain Alerting Engine used to monitor systems using Python, SQL Alchemy and SQL Server
Implement automated processes to enable continuous integration/deployment, including tests
Contribute to the full software lifecycle including design, development, documentation, testing and deployment
Work closely with other developers in a collaborative environment

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
Proven experience building web applications using a JS SPA framework
Proven experience building/maintaining an alert engine using Python, SQL Server
Experience with: TDD, .NET/C#, Angular/NodeJS, Python/PANDAS, SQL Server 2008+
Passion for developing quality software, a love of continuous learning, and a creative mindset
Affinity for listening to others, respecting their contributions, and sharing your own thoughts
Ability to create performant, data-driven web applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to positively and effectively interact with internal and external customers
Regular, reliable and predictable performance required
Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal screen. Additional pre-employment driving and drug screens may be required based on job responsibilities
