Participate in the design and engineering of software development projects using the latest industry standards, tools and techniques. Support, maintain and enhance existing applications. Good project estimation and management skills and ability to deliver on multiple projects/tasks. Superb analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers to draw full requirement sets and add value over time with understanding of the business. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft development tools, techniques, understanding of multiple development methodologies and appropriate use for each. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and practices. Experience in using large databases (greater than 1 TB) is a plus. Ability to work across groups, teams and across various disciplines. Applicants need to have a flexible can-do attitude, be self-sufficient, and be able to create solid working relationships across other business and technical teams. Applicant must have strong change management skills.
- Design and develop applications or solutions to meet business requirements as well as technical standards with emphasis on usability, lasting design, maintainability, reliability, and scalability.
- Lead complicated software development projects to successful completion with quality on time deliveries.
- Select and make recommendations of appropriate technologies to solve particular business or technical issues.
- Participate in all stages of SDLC.
- Proficient in the use of Source Code Control tools and processes.
- Participate in code reviews in accordance with team processes/standards.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationship with key business users including Executive staff
- Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization; influence change as needed
- Use appropriate change management procedures
- Use and comply with all policies and processes
- Provide technical expertise to assist in development of appropriate project plans and work estimates.
- Provide on-call support to applications as required. Occasionally also provide weekend support.
- Mentor junior team members

Requirements:
-Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in IT, MIS or Computer Science, or equivalent experience. -6+ years of software development. -Prior experience in technical design of complex software development projects. -Current knowledge of IT trends and best practice
