NCI: As a Software Engineer on the Software Development Team you will have the opportunity to support the Army by executing internet software design and sustained engineering tasks on a secure network for the Program Executive Office of Simulation Training, Research, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI). This challenging position will require the applicant to provide timely and accurate solutions using their experience following formal requirements documentation, producing application components, maintaining existing software deployments, and deploying new software applications in a predominantly Microsoft environment.

Highlights of Responsibilities:

* Review, analyze, modify, encode, and debug software systems in compliance with design specifications.
* Coordinate and participate in the internal testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
* Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis
* Deploy certified software applications to the production environment.
* Track issues and document resolutions using an automated system.
Requirements:

* Obtain DoD 8570.2 / IA Tech Level I certification within 180 days of hire.
* Obtain IT certifications to maintain DoD 8570.2 / IA Tech Level I certification as required.
* Four or more years of experience designing and supporting applications written in C#.
* Two or more years contributing to projects throughout the entire SDLC.
* One or more years of experience using MVC and other common design patterns.
* Two or more years of experience using JavaScript 1.1 and frameworks such as Ext JS, jQuery, or Node.
Preferred Education or Experience:

* DoD 8570.2 / IA Tech Level I certified with vendor neutral and/or Microsoft based CE certifications.
* Four or more years contributing to projects throughout the entire SDLC.
* Four or more years of experience using MVC and other common design patterns.
* One or more years of experience designing web applications in a PKI / CAC secured environment
* Four or more years of experience using JavaScript 1.1, Ext JS 3+, jQuery 1.5, or Node 0.6+
