Opportunity:
The Software Engineering Manager will be a technical leader for this discipline and will lead engineering tasks such as design, implementation, testing and documentation.

Division Information:
Our cardiac care product range includes technologically advanced left heart products for critically ill cardiac patients and right heart catheter products, including thermodilution and Berman Cathay, pacing catheters and transradial access products. Teleflex's Arrow line of intra-aortic balloon catheters and balloon pump consoles is the result of years of clinical and engineering expertise from multiple venues that have come together to bring to market innovative cardiac assist products for critically ill patients who require balloon pump support. In addition to options for balloon pump consoles, we also offer a wide array of intra-aortic balloon catheters with styles from firm to flexible and wire-reinforced catheter bodies to polyurethane.

Position Description:
Lead software product development including:
Design (Architecture and Software Design)
Implementation of deliverables.
Documentation of deliverables.
Engineering Studies and testing.
Technical Interface to other departments.
Associate & Engineer Development and support.
Selection of Software components, tools and procedures including hardware choices based on software needs

Provide Software technical expertise to investigate NCs, CAPAs and complaints.

Lead creation of documentation associated with engineering activities including:
Design and Development Plans
Requirements
Design Documents
Engineering Studies

Function as a project lead over multi-disciplinary teams.

Be a major contributor and/or owner of the software development process within the organization. This includes development of procedures and work instructions for software development, selection and implementation of development tools and techniques.

Requirements:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
BS, Software or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Proficient in engineering principles (design, implementation, documentation, troubleshooting)
MS in related field or 5+ years related work experience
Experience working in a highly regulated environment required medical device preferred
Technical & Team leadership experience preferred

SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge of medical device software development lifecycle and regulatory requirements related to software containing medical devices preferred.
Proficient in MS Office
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation internal & external customers)
Must have strong organizational skills
Must be a self-starter, be able to work independently and meet assigned deadlines
Ability to work effectively and productively on a team
Strong planning and prioritizing skills
