JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities* Lead and grow a strong software engineering team of developers and testers focussing on hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career planning
* Create recruitment strategies, working the the recruitment team, to attract and retain top engineers
* Work with the Director of Engineering and Product Owners to establish and communicate engineering goals, objectives, and milestones to the team
* Manage, coordinate, drive successful delivery of features
* Collaborate with leadership team to continuously manage trade-offs between scope, resources and time during the development lifecycle
* Take part in technical discussion and have strategic influence
* Work with Product Owners to help define technical requirements
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement, high performance, and innovation within the team
Specific Skills
* Bachelors or Masters of a recognized program in Computer Science or related discipline
* 10+ years experience in the software engineering field working on full-stack, complex, scalable software applications
* 5+ years hands-on technical management
* 3+ years coding in one of the following languages: C, C++, Java, C# or Objective-C
* 4+ years of software engineering experience
* Experience leading a team of developers
* Experience leading and inspiring software and test/QA engineers, including hiring and performance management
* Experience working with recruitment teams creating recruitment strategies to attract and retain top notch engineers
