Job Description:
The position will involve design, development, test, and evaluation of a broad range of mobile wireless communications technology, products and solutions. More specifically, candidates will assist validation and standardization of military software radio waveforms that enable software defined radio operation (primarily the Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW),
The ideal candidate will have a through knowledge of and experience with Software Defined Radio concepts, specially associated with the DOD Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS). Leveraging commercial standardization processes the candidate will support creation of an SRW ?Gold Standard? and assist/lead development technical documentation with sufficient detail to enable 3rd party vendors to successfully implement SRW on various software radio platforms. This is a continuously evolving situation as SRW adds enhancements and upgrades over the next several years.
Duties include:
-Generating design concepts focused on leveraging commercial wireless standardization processes -Evalating wireless infrastructure solutions and products developed by third parties as well as in house -Recommending adaptations required to merge commercial wireless standards -Analyzing design interfaces -Orchestrating laboratory demonstrations and evaluations -Orchestrating Field experimentation -Developing detailed technical documentation for software radio waveforms

Requirements:
Job Requires:
-A Bachelor?s degree in Electrical or Computing Engineering and 10+ years of related experience -Working knowledge of and experience with the JTRS Software Communications Architecture (SCA) and the Soldier Radio Waveform -The ability to understand coding -Familiarity with and experience participating in Industry forums and Standards bodies for emerging commercial communications capabilities associated Modems, WiMax, WiFi, 3/4G Cellular, Protocols, etc. Candidate must have a current Secret Clearance.
