SUMMARY:

Support, through software design and development experience, DI's mission of providing engineering services and consulting in human-system integration (HSI), usability engineering, training systems design and evaluation, serious games, and next generation HSI research.

WHAT YOU NEED:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Engineering
*

3-5years experience full-scale accountability (hire, fire, mentoring, coaching), 5years development experience* ABILITY TO OBTAIN A SECURITY CLEARANCE (please see the following link for factors that may disqualify someone from obtaining a security clearance:

WHAT YOU\'LL BE DOING

* Directly oversee department's software development, including basic research, exploratory development, and advanced technology development efforts
* Be able to provide direct input to subordinates regarding Android, iOS (mobile) and web development tools, techniques, and technologies
* Be familiar with various operating systems and platforms for development
* In depth knowledge of programming tools, techniques, and technology stacks
* Plan, schedule, manage and review the work of staff engaged in analyzing, installing, customizing, optimizing, troubleshooting, and monitoring application and system software
* Provide estimate needs for staff and maintain work schedules.
* Participate in planning, programming and budgetary decisions.
* Work with Director, Lead Scientist, business development and marketing personnel to coordinate software development agenda with business direction and needs.
* Acquire knowledge of new technologies and software; train staff in the use of new application and system software concepts and technologies.
* Ensure proper developers have been assigned to projects in a timely manner.
* Identifies, facilitates and drives resolution of program/projects issues and risks.
* Obtains commitment from project managers on schedule and deployment dates.
* Provide career development, training, administration, coaching for developers assigned.
* Participate in proposal development; identify and secure transition customers where applicable.
* Promote products and services at various customer locations and functions.
* Maintain knowledge of all DI practice areas where they are today and where they should be going - including Performance Assessment, Training Systems, Cognitive Readiness, and Next Generation Human Systems.

* Position requires a minimum amount of local, overnight and extended travel.
